I took a class in Portland with The Lovely Ms Dayna Pinkham of Pinkham Millinery, and now I love nothing more than buying wooden bowls and platters from Goodwill to use as molds for making hats.
I have made one or two for myself but have also done a few for family. I am still learning (and remembering) and try different fabrics all the time.
A few months ago I went out of my zone and offered to make a hat as a silent auction item for Husband’s rugby team, and of course I had left the last few things til the NIGHT BEFORE, yay. But I am very happy with the end result. Micayla Lally
